Get to know the photographer
Hi, I’m Josey — a Denver lifestyle newborn and family photographer with a background in Early Childhood Education.
I grew up spending my summers camping in the Rocky Mountains, where I learned to notice the quiet, in-between moments — the way light filters through trees, the way connection feels when no one is performing. That same attentiveness now shapes the way I photograph families.
Before I started my photography business, I worked as an Early Childhood Educator, where I first started photographing the magic and wonder of childhood curiosity. Today, I split my time between working as a professional nanny and photographing growing families — which means I’m deeply comfortable in the beautiful, unpredictable rhythm of life with little ones.
My approach is calm, fun, child-led, and connection-focused. I don’t expect perfection. I look for natural moments of connection and the small details that make your family unique.
With formal photography education and years of hands-on experience, I aim to preserve the season you’re in — from spontaneous laughter to quiet snuggles and everything in between.
When I’m not photographing families, you’ll likely find me back in the mountains, exploring local coffee shops, and playing board games at home with my partner.
